After a long day, there’s absolutely nothing better than a cold beer and a good meal. Salt Lake City is home to several restaurant breweries with great food, great beer, and great atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for just a quick bite or a several course meal to accompany your brew, you can find it all in Salt Lake. Here are a few of our personal favorite spots.
Squatters & Wasatch – Salt Lake Brewing Co.
If you’re looking to grab some dinner with a local brew, you’re in luck! Squatters Pub is located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. Here, you will find a large food menu ranging from pizza and burgers to jambalaya. Squatters also has a great list of beer on tap. Since they are partnered with Wasatch Brewery, both pub locations feature each others beer. Squatters and Wasatch beer are local Utah favorites, as together they make up Salt Lake Brewing Co. Wasatch Brewery, located in Sugarhouse, has a similar menu to Squatters, with a few slight differences. Wasatch boasts a broad appetizer menu, which makes it very suitable for large groups. However, it should be noted that Wasatch requires at least one member of each party to be age 21 or older.

Red Rock Brewing
Red Rock Brewing in downtown Salt Lake offers a vast and extensive food menu, which makes it suitable for every palette. They have pizza, pasta, salads, sandwiches, steak, fish, and weekly specials. They also offer a generous beer menu, including local ciders from Mountain West. This is definitely a great place to go if you are looking for a family-friendly dining experience with extensive options for all.

Desert Edge Brewery
Another popular family-friendly location is Desert Edge Brewery just minutes away from downtown in the historic Trolley Square. Desert Edge features a large menu full of sandwiches, burgers, salads, and everything else you could want to accompany your beer! This is another versatile joint with a menu extensive enough to accommodate everyone in your party.

Bohemian Brewery
If you’re searching for unique, central European style pub food with your brew, then you will want to “Czech” out Bohemian Brewery. Located just outside Salt Lake, in Midvale, Utah, Bohemian Brewery offers a wide variety of brats and schnitzel along with their authentic Czech and German style lagers. They are known for their large portions, so don’t be afraid to bring a big appetite!

Avenues Proper
Finally, located in the hip and trendy avenues is Avenues Proper! Here, you will find a somewhat limited, but delicious dinner menu featuring burgers, tacos, salads and small plates. This is not your typical brewery style restaurant. Instead, it is a rather quaint little dinner spot with an extensive and exceptional beer menu. Since there is limited seating, we recommend making a reservation during weekend nights.
