Forest Dale Golf Course: Golf the Most Challenging Finishing Hole in the City
This Salt Lake City golf course is located near Sugar House Park in Salt Lake City and is only 14 minutes from the Salt Lake International Airport. Forest Dale Golf Course is a challenging course with several small, original table-top greens that place a premium on accuracy. This Salt Lake City golf course was originally built in 1906 and is the oldest golf course in Utah. The nine-hole layout features three par 3s, three par 4s and three par 5s, with a large lake coming into play on the closing three holes. Stonebridge Golf Club: 27 Holes Less than 10 minutes from the Airport
You can’t beat such a spectacular course located just 9 minutes from the Salt Lake airport. Stonebridge Golf Club features 27 Holes of Golf, divided into three challenging nines. Each hole measures nearly 3,600 yards from the professional tees. It is one of the longest and most water-laden courses in Utah. From the first hole at the Sunrise nine, a long par four with a green fronted by water, to the last hole at Sagebrush, a monster par five with water running the length of the hole, the Stonebridge golf course will prove to be a challengingly fun.
You need a long drive to avoid the water from the Championship tees and accuracy to stay out of the numerous traps at this Salt Lake City golf course. While the lakes and creeks are the major hazard, there’s also plenty of sand with 93 formal bunkers and a 200 yard long waste bunker on one hole. The wide fairway landing areas, bent grass greens, and lovely native grass plantings combine to give the course a Scottish links feel, making this an excellent choice for golf on your Salt Lake City vacation.
