Exploring the best museums in Salt Lake City
Salt Lake City’s best museums
Clark Planetarium
Clark Planetarium has been around since 2003, and before being named Clark, it was there for over 50 years. Its convenient location makes it a great stop when visiting Salt Lake. Admission to the museum is free! It has a dome-shaped theater and another IMAX theater inside. There is also a fabulous gift shop and over 10,000 square feet of hands-on exhibits to explore the planetarium.
Natural History Museum of Utah
Not only is this one of the best museums in Utah, but it is also one of the best natural history museums in our country. It is an architectural feat and an amazing experience in East Salt Lake. The museum boasts being home to over 1.6 million historical objects, which I didn’t even know was possible. Their pricing is reasonable, with an adult ticket costing $22.95, making it a good option to visit on your trip here.
The Leonardo
The Leonardo is an art and science museum in Salt Lake City. Its focus is on science and innovation. The museum has multiple entertaining art and science exhibits. An adult ticket is $16 for the exhibit making it another great museum choice that won’t break the bank.
Dreamscapes
Dreamscapes is an immersive 3-D art museum in The Shops at South Town. It feels like you’re truly in a dream while you’re awake! An adult ticket costs $19.99.
In summary, Utah is home to some amazing options for museums, and these are just a few of my favorites.
