Best Downtown Salt Lake Coffee Shops
Salt Lake is known for having the best snow on Earth, but we also have a buzzing coffee culture complete with local roasters, skilled baristas, and beautiful coffee shops. As an avid coffee lover, here are my favorite downtown Salt Lake coffee shops!
The Raw Bean: Quick and Convenient Quality Coffee
Located in downtown Salt Lake, The Raw Bean is within walking distance to downtown hotels and the Salt Palace Convention Center. The Raw Bean has a convenient and quick drive through, but if you want to stay for a bit and make use of their free wi-fi, they also have a cozy two-story lounge that overlooks the city. Check out their dog-friendly outdoor patio before going on a hike! Their beans are roasted down the street at Meridian Roasters, and their breakfast croissants are delivered fresh daily. Try their double brewed iced coffee – it’s the best!

Publik Coffee Roasters: Go for the Atmosphere, Stay for the Toast
Fashioned inside of a huge, industrial-style building, Publik Coffee is one of the most beautiful coffee shops in Salt Lake. Publik’s beans are roasted in-house, and you can watch the whole process from behind the glass. This coffee shop prides itself in quality over quantity and green sustainable practices that you can see as soon as you walk in, from the solar paneled roof to the pollution-free roasting. They provide both coffee and atmosphere that you can feel good about. Don’t forget to try some of their specialty toast!

The Rose Establishment: Specialty Drinks and Healthy Homemade Brunch
The Rose Establishment is the place to check out if you’re looking for a delicious brunch to go with a quality cup of coffee in Salt Lake. Located in a beautifully restored old brick building with neon signs in the heart of downtown Salt Lake, The Rose Establishment features specialty coffee and tea inspired by the owner’s affinity for cocktails, complete with bitters and herbs from their rooftop garden. Everything on The Rose Establishment’s brunch menu is healthy, wholesome, and constantly rotated with the produce that’s in season.
If you’re visiting The Rose Establishment in the summer on a Saturday morning, make sure to check out the Salt Lake Farmers Market on the next block!
