Avenues Proper – The Avenues, Salt Lake City
Are you new to Salt Lake City? If so, the Avenues is a great neighborhood to start exploring. Start your weekend adventure with brunch at Avenues Proper, a restaurant and bar located on 8th Ave in between D & E Street. Check out their brunch menu. It’s an all around great place for brunch in Salt Lake City. Don’t miss out on our favorite menu item, the Chilaquiles. They are made with two eggs (sunny side up), fresh salsa, guacamole, and house-pickled red onion. If you aren’t in the mood for something savory, try going with a sweet option. We suggest you try the Proper French Toast, made with their house challah bread, pickled pears, orange zest, and homemade thyme-infused maple syrup. This is a local hotspot, so be prepared to wait for a table. However, if you stroll in later than expected and miss brunch, don’t worry. Market Street Grill – Downtown Salt Lake City
Market Street Grill is a well-known restaurant and bar in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. They are known for having the best seafood between Seattle and Boston! We think they are one of the best brunch spots in Salt Lake City. They have high-quality food and service, with affordable prices. Their brunch cocktails are reasonably priced. We recommend their bloody mary, which is garnished with a jumbo shrimp, olive, and celery. Whether or not you are drinking an adult beverage, make sure you get a glass of their fresh-squeezed orange or grapefruit juice. It is amazing! Their menu includes staples like benedicts, omelets, and french toast. However, since they are known for their seafood, we encourage visitors to add fresh fish to their meal.

RYE – Downtown Salt Lake City
RYE is a hip restaurant if you’re looking for a great brunch spot in Salt Lake City. If you are a fan of the American classics but want a unique twist, this is your place. Many of their menu items are made with ingredients from local Utah farmers and bakers. Additionally, they have several options for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free customers. Some of our favorite plates include the Veggie Breakfast Bowl, which is made with mushrooms, avocado, rice, house-made kimchi, green onion, nori, and sous vide egg. This bowl is savory and delicious! Or, if you are more of a sweet tooth type, go for the Brioche French Toast. It will not disappoint. RYE also stays open late for dinner and cocktails and is next door to one of our 13 favorite bars in Salt Lake City, Urban Lounge.
