3 Affordable Golf Courses in Salt Lake City
Utah is home to some of the most scenic golf courses in the country. St. George has some really incredible golf courses, but it’s three and a half hours from Salt Lake City, and it’s so hot. Park City saves you from the heat but, like most things in Park City, you’re stuck paying a high premium for golf, IF you can even get onto the course. So, where do people like me get their golf fix? We’ll take a look at some top golf courses in Salt Lake City and give you our local opinion.
Old Mill Golf Course:
This has to be one of, if not the most, scenic public golf courses in Salt Lake City. Located off of I-215 and Wasatch Blvd., this course is technically in Holladay, UT. This is a full 18-hole course that is well-maintained and a lot of fun to play. Some of the holes get a little tight as they traverse the mountain, but plenty of holes let you swing away and put your driver to the test. Competitively priced, you can golf 18 holes + a cart anywhere from $40-$60.
Bonneville Golf Course:
Tucked away along the East Bench of Salt Lake City, Bonneville Golf Course has been around for over 100 years. This affordable golf course gives the errant tee shot some forgiveness which helps us all shoot lower. Large, mature trees along the fairways give this golf course a unique look for Utah golf courses. Similarly to Old Mill Golf Course, 18 holes + a cart can run you anywhere from $40-$60. Glendale Golf Course:
Of the three affordable golf courses listed in this blog, Glendale is probably going to be the most affordable with great summer rates. This course is very enjoyable with a wide-open layout. Not as scenic as Bonneville or Old Mill, but still a lot of fun for a great price. Right now, players can golf 18 holes with a cart for $36.
